CEO (Chief Executive Officer)
Jordan is a senior Economics major, minoring in Applied Statistics & Data Analysis. He is leading KSU SMIF as CEO in his final semester with the fund, previously holding rolls as a Junior Analyst and the Vice President of Human Resources. Jordan was named Most Outstanding Analyst at the conclusion of the Fall 2017 semester, has participated in the CFA Institute Research Challenge, and represented the fund at the 2018 Global Asset Management Education Forum in New York City. He has also serves on the Coles College Student Advisory Board to the Dean. Jordan interned with UBS Financial Services in their Global Wealth Management division, as well as with Domain Capital Advisors, an Atlanta-based investment management firm. After graduation in December 2018, Jordan plans to launch his career in the financial services industry before pursuing a graduate degree.
Luis Trujillo Jr
COO (Chief Operations Officer)
Luis is a senior at Kennesaw State University pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing with a minor in Finance. This will be his fourth semester with the KSU SMIF. Luis has received Junior Analyst of the year in his first semester. His previous positions in SMIF were Junior Analyst, Associate Manager, Managing Director and has been apart of the Portfolio Management team. Luis played collegiate lacrosse all throughout his college career, first starting his journey on an athletic scholarship to Reinhardt University before transferring to Kennesaw State. Luis has been apart of multiple conference championship winning teams and was the KSU Men’s Lacrosse treasurer. Luis achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in previous years. Luis has no solidified plans post graduation but wants to pursue a career in the E-Sports / Gaming industry.
CIO (Chief Investment Officer)
Jonathan is a senior finance major with a minor in psychology. This is his fifth semester with the SMIF; he was previously a Junior/Senior Analyst, Managing Director, Director of Investments, and now Chief Investment Officer. He has interned with Oppenheimer & Co., Henssler Financial research group, and J.P. Morgan's Private Bank. Post graduation, he plans on entering the financial services industry before pursuing graduate school.
CE (Chief Economist)
Madeline Fine is an Economics major with an Anthropology minor. This is her third semester with the SMIF and previously worked as a Junior and Senior Analyst. In addition to the SMIF, she is an undergraduate research fellow for the Bagwell Center for the Study of Markets and Economic Opportunity and a member of the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society. She has also participated in the 2018 CFA challenge and studied abroad in Italy with the Coles College of Business. Madeline plans to attend graduate school to study behavioral economics.
HR (Human Resources)
Brooke Hudson is a senior at Kennesaw State University who will be graduating Fall 2018 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. Her largest academic achievement has been maintaining above a 3.9 cumulative GPA. Her academic achievements paired with her involvement within the Student Managed Investment Fund has landed her a full time Underwriting offer with a multibillion dollar commercial insurance company upon graduation. The Underwriting position will allow her to use her skill of analyzing the financial and managerial risk of commercial companies to determine an appropriate risk/return tradeoff for a policy premium. She looks forward to working with new and existing members of the fund, in hopes that she can help them excel academically and professionally.
