  • Luis TrujilloCEO (Chief Executive Officer) & COO (Chief Operations Officer) 

    Luis is a senior at Kennesaw State University pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing with a minor in Finance. This will be his fourth semester with the SMIF. His previous positions in the SMIF were Junior Analyst, Associate Manager, Managing Director and he has been a part of the Portfolio Management team. Luis also received Junior Analyst of the year in his first semester with the fund. Luis played collegiate lacrosse all throughout his college career, first starting his journey on an athletic scholarship to Reinhardt University before transferring to Kennesaw State. Luis has been a part of multiple conference championship winning teams and was the KSU Men’s Lacrosse treasurer.

  • Solomon DodsonCIO (Chief Investment Officer) 

    Solomon is a junior at Kennesaw State University pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. Since fall of 2017, Solomon has worked with the SMIF concentrating on the Technology and Real Estate sectors. He competed in the 2018 CFA research challenge and represented the fund at the 2018 Global Assets Management Education Forum. He is currently interning at Stan Johnson Company Commercial Real Estate and plans to graduate in the Spring of 2020. Post graduation, Solomon plans on entering the financial services industry and maintain a single-family home portfolio. In his spare time, he enjoys backpacking and power-lifting.

  • Nicholas Busson CE (Chief Economist) 

    Nicholas is a junior at Kennesaw State University pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. This is his second semester with the fund and first semester as Chief Economist. Outside of the fund, Nicholas is the Senator of Housing and Residence Life in Student Government. In November 2018, he was named Campus Services Student of the Month for his dedication to his residents as an RA.  He is also a member of KSU's Model United Nations team. This summer, Nicholas will be interning at SunTrust for Wholesale Development and Commercial Banking. After graduating from KSU in 2020, Nicholas plans to pursue a career in Finance.

  • Curt Schoeneman DOO (Director of Operations) 

    Curt is a senior at Kennesaw State University pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance with a minor in Mathematics.  Fall 2018, he was an Associate for the Financials & Real Estate Sector, and Spring 2018 he was a Senior Equity Analyst for the Financials & Healthcare Sector. Fall 2017, he was a Senior Equity Analyst for the Industrials and Energy Sector, and Spring 2017 he was a Junior Analyst for Technology and Energy Sector. Curt is retired from the U.S. Army as a Lieutenant Colonel. His last assignment with U.S. Army Central Command was as the Division Manager of JOPES (Joint Operations Planning and Execution System) for strategic transportation planning. After graduation, Curt plans to pursue a career in investments and obtain the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

  • Gino PalombaDOI (Director of Investments) 

    Gino Palomba is a sophomore at Kennesaw State University pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance with a minor in Accounting. Gino has been with the fund for two semesters and is the managing director for the Technology and Energy sector. In spring of 2018, he was a junior analyst for the Financials and Healthcare sector. Fall of 2018, he was an associate manager for the Technology and Energy sector. He has won the Investopedia challenge four consecutive times. His first attempt netted a 56% return and his second attempt netted a 45% return. He is also an entrepreneur and has created two companies all before the age of 20. One involving real estate and the other involving off-road vehicle accessories.

  • Vinny RosamiliaVP of HR (Vice President of Human Resources)

    Vinny is a junior at Kennesaw State University pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. He joined the Student Managed Investment Fund in July 2018 and was a junior analyst assigned to the Real Estate and Financial sector. In 2018, he had an internship with Bastion Capital. In November of 2018, he was promoted to Vice President of Human Resources, the role he currently fills. His educational plans include participation in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) challenge during his Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 semesters. Vinny expects to graduate Spring 2020 and plans to pursue a career in investments. Vinny would also like to continue his education to receive a Master of Business Administration (MBA).

  • Christopher PairanVP of Marketing (Vice President of Marketing) 

    Christopher is a junior at Kennesaw State University pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing with a minor in Entrepreneurship. This is both his first semester with the firm and first semester as VP of Marketing. Outside the fund, Christopher is dedicated to promoting equity amongst students at KSU. In 2017, he worked with C.A.R.E. Services and GLE to promote Homelessness Awareness Week and the Sleep Out Challenge. In 2018 he was a member of the Owl Leadership Fellows and placed second in the Community Impact Challenge. At the end of 2018, Christopher was invited to present his team’s online clothing donation service at the Georgia Association of Colleges and Employers hosted by Turner Broadcasting. Post graduation, he plans to pursue a career in commercial advertising.
