Facilities in the Center for Professional Selling

The Center for Professional Selling has developed a state-of-the-art facility that includes role-play offices with audio visual recording capabilities, a Sales Negotiations Lab, a multi-purpose training room, a sophisticated control center, an observation facility, a resource center, and a reception area, as well as access to classrooms in the Coles College of Business.

  • Eight fully functioning offices provide students with space to practice one-on-one and team-selling situations in digitally recorded role-playing simulations. Each office is equipped with computers and plasma TVs for presentations and demonstrations.
  • The Sales Negotiations Lab allows students to practice presenting to groups, using almost any technology that they may face in the field. Students may bring presentations on removable media and hone their presentation and demonstration skills.
  • Sales calls and other events can be viewed from any classroom, which range from small conference room settings to state-of-the-art lecture rooms that seat over 100 students.
  • The Center for Professional Selling uses the latest in digital technology to capture each student’s role play. Each recording is web-based, with start and stop capabilities from any computer with password access. Playback capability is also web-based, allowing students to download their role plays to present to potential employers.
  • In our fully equipped role-playing offices, HD cameras and professional quality, hidden microphones capture sales call simulations. The cloud-based, password-protected digital recording may be viewed in any classroom in the Coles College of Business or from any computer.
