    09:30-10:30 Session 1: "Beauty & Sustainability"

This opening session is meant to be thought provoking and challenge our imagination. How does beauty and sustainability connect? We sense a profound connection, almost an ontological one, yet this is one that we are not used to explore, or to bring into our classrooms. What opportunity are we missing thereby? What pedagogic tools or approaches are we neglecting, that could touch the minds and hearts of our students in powerful ways? What aspects are we collectively, tacitly, leaving outside of the classroom, and what would happen if we didn't?
