KSU lecturer addresses concerns over potential data security issues at MARTA
WSB-TV interviewed Coles College faculty member Andrew Green, a lecturer of information security and assurance, about potential information security problems inside Atlanta’s public transportation authority.
A confidential report that recently became public details a litany of potential information technology issues inside the Metro Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) including the lack of a disaster recovery plan and the lack of encryption around sensitive data like employee Social Security Numbers.
“I don’t want to say it’s reckless,” Green told WSB-TV Reporter Richard Belcher. “I will simply say I’m very disappointed to see this kind of behavior from an organization the size of MARTA.”
Watch the entire segment to hear more from Green about potential information security shortcomings at MARTA.
