The Education Economics Center promotes the development of sound education policy by bringing data evidence to education decisions. Housed in the Coles College of Business, the center provides nonpartisan research and analysis for the evaluation and design of state and national education policy. Under the direction Ben Scafidi, the center explores education taxes, expenditures, policies, and outcomes.

The center undertakes research surrounding school choice including public, private, hybrid, virtual, and charter institutions, and access and success in higher education.
