May I schedule an appointment?
Yes, four days each weeek are by appointment only. Visit the Advising home page for the current schedule. Go to ColesAdvising.com for instructions on how to make an appointment.

How do I make an appointment?
To make an appointment, go online to your Owl Express, select the ‘Student Services’ tab, and click ‘EAB Campus Advising.’ Sign into the portal with your KSU Net ID and password. Press ‘Get Advising’ and follow the instructions to set a date and time for your appointment.

Am I assigned an advisor?
No, business students are not assigned an advisor. You may see a different advisor for each visit or you may request to see the same advisor when scheduling the appointment/signing in.

What is a Closed Course Override?
It is a requested override for the student to be enrolled in a closed (full) course. However, these overrides are NOT handled by Undergraduate Advising. These overrides are handled by the Department offering the course. Students must fill out the appropriate Department Contact Form found on the Coles Registration website.

What is my catalog year?Your catalog year may be found on your DegreeWorks on Owl Express. Catalog year changes when you declare/switch your major. It determines the courses you will need to take to complete your degree. Each catalog year’s course requirements can vary.

What is BUSA 2150 and why do I have to take it?BUSA 2150: Discovering My Major & Career is the first course of a 3-course, zero-credit hour, hybrid program (Hughes Leadership and Career Program) designed to help Coles College students prepare for success in their upper-division BBA courses and after graduation. Students must pass with a grade of “S” to be admitted to the Coles College of Business.
