The Hughes Leadership and Career Program prepares you to compete in today’s challenging
job market by helping to define your strengths and prepare for success in your future
career. This program is included in the Coles College undergraduate curriculum for
all business students enrolling in KSU during or after Fall 2014.
In our program, you will work with a Career Coach from your major department with years of real world experience and an understanding of the skills you need in your career.

BUSA 2150: Discovering My Major and Career
Take this in your Sophomore Year.
In this course, you will research business majors and career of choice, identify salary potential and entry requirements, refine written and oral communication skills, and begin working with a Career Coach. This course is required for admission to Coles College.
BUSA 3150: Developing My Career Essentials
Take this in your Junior Year.
Work in StrengthsQuest to identify and explore talents and develop those talents into competitive strengths, enhance professional communication skills, and continue working with your Career Coach.
Prerequisite: BUSA 2150
BUSA 4150: Driving My Success
Take this in your Senior Year.
Here, you will identify your personal leadership style, create your personal brand and elevator speech, learn to manage social media, and work with your Career Coach to plan post-graduation success.
Prerequisite: BUSA 3150
