Programs Providing KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS

The Coles College of Business offers a Bachelor of Business Administration degree [BBA] to prepare students for careers in business. In publications ranging from The Wall Street Journal to U. S. News & World Report, our academic initiatives have been recognized for their ability to bridge theory and practice in a challenging, interactive learning environment. All of our business programs are accredited by AACSB-International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Only 20% of the business schools in the country have this accreditation. The Coles College was the first business school in Georgia to earn this recognition under the AACSB's new mission-driven, continuous improvement criteria.

With more than 5,000 undergraduate and graduate students, Coles is one of the largest business schools in Georgia. Although we are large, our students are taught by professors, not graduate assistants. Attracting and retaining outstanding faculty is a top priority for us. We offer classes day and night, weekday and weekend, in person and online.

In addition to learning from their professors and peers in class, students can develop skills by participating in co-ops and internships, international study experiences, business student organizations, and special events. This year Coles faculty are offering study abroad trips to Brazil, China, Australia, and Greece. Our Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) chapter has won the regional championship in competition nine years in a row. We recently launched the Student-Managed Investment Fund (SMIF), which provides finance majors with real-world experience trading securities. The Coles Center for Professional Selling annually hosts the National Collegiate Sales Competition, which is the premier sales competition in the world.

Our alums are leaders in their professions. For example, Brian Pendley (BBA '94) was recently named partner at Ernst & Young in Atlanta. Ted Parrish (BBA '95), a nationally recognized investment expert, manages $1.2 billion in assets as director of investments at the Henssler Financial Group.

The Coles College Office for Undergraduate Programs provides support to business majors through the Business Undergraduate Advising Center, the Coles College Career Services Lab, and the Tutoring Center. We encourage you to take advantage of all that the Coles College has to offer, so that you can be as successful as possible in your academic pursuits and in your future career.
