Beta Alpha Psi

Welcome to the
Iota Tau Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi!

Beta Alpha Psi is an honorary organization for Financial Information students and professionals. The primary objective of Beta Alpha Psi is to encourage and give recognition to scholastic and professional excellence in the business information field. This includes promoting the study and practice of accounting, finance and information systems; providing opportunities for self-development, service and association among members and practicing professionals, and encouraging a sense of ethical, social, and public responsibility.

Beta Alpha Psi was founded in 1919. There are now nearly 280 chapters on college and university campuses internationally with over 300,000 members initiated since Beta Alpha Psi's formation. The Iota Tau Chapter at Kennesaw State University received its charter in 1999 and continues to grow each year with active support from the Coles College of Business faculty and staff. Local chapter activities include professional meetings, educational events, and community service events.

For more information about Beta Alpha Psi, please visit the national Web site at www.bap.org.

NEWS FOR YOU

- The schedule has been finalized and there will be 8 meetings total for the spring semester with a 4 meeting minimum for the 50% requirement. If you have any questions or concerns please contact us.

- To become a member, or remain a member in good standing, you must complete 5 hours of community service this semester. This semester we are participating with the Georgia Adopt a Mile program. Our scheduled event is on Saturday, March 31st. The event will take place in Kennesaw on old 41 highway at mile marker 1. We will begin at 7:30 a.m. and go until 12:30. Please wear bright clothing since we will be working on the side of a highway. Also note that in order to attend you must first fill out a KSU liability waiver form. This form can be found at any of the professional meeting as well. An email has been sent to your KSU student email address with further information.

- If you are not able to attend the community service event, you must still complete 5 hours of community service on your own time to remain a member in good standing (or be initiated).  For verification of your community service, please fill out and return the form found here.

- As a reminder, please bring dues to our first professional meeting on February 21st. Dues for returning members and candidates are $40 and dues for new candidates are $90. Club dues must be paid before being able to attend the meeting.
