The business of sports is a multibillion-dollar industry and marketing has been a prominent force behind the growth. As a result, Sports Marketing is one of the fastest growing career fields in America. The term “sports marketing” includes the administration, coordination, and evaluation of any type of event related to sport. Examples of these activities include local school and community sports, not-for-profit and corporate events, intercollegiate sport programs, amateur or professional sport leagues, licensing, the Super Bowl and global competition such as the Olympic Games.
