Ten up-and-coming Georgia artists to perform at mixer April 11

Kennesaw State University’s Joel A. Katz Music & Entertainment Business Program presents 10 of Georgia’s up-and-coming bands –– including hip-hop artists, country and rock bands, and R&B singers –– at the Southern Talent Expo Industry Mixer at Smith’s Olde Bar on Wednesday, April 11.
Fifty students enrolled in KSU’s Joel A. Katz Music & Entertainment Business Program have been working as managers and promoters for 10 local artists during the spring semester. The industry mixer will showcase the artists’ and students’ work. A panel of judges will vote. Mixer is sponsored in conjunction with Sony Music Nashville and PlayPro Media.
DJ Hurricane and UnklRyan will host the presentation, which will feature:
Hip-hop artist Elgin Nation
Country act Kurt Thomas Band
Alternative rock band Leslie Mack
Rock group the Armory
Americana band Lauren St. Jane & the Dead Westerns
Hip-hop artist A-N-T
Pop/folk rock artist Amy Gerhartz
R&B artist Andy Griffen
Hip-hop artist Mr. Lee
Americana/bluegrass band the Whiskey Gentry
