Kennesaw State University music business students to get hands-on experience promoting bands
The Republic
KENNESAW, Ga. — About 50 students in Kennesaw State University's music business program will get a first-hand look at the inner workings of the music industry.
Over the next three months, the students will work with Sony Music Nashville to promote and market 10 bands and performing artists in a variety of music genres. The students will also work with PlayPro Media, a social media company that helps artists build fan bases.
Keith Perissi, the program's associate director, said the class will serve as a "learning lab" where students get hands-on experience.
