Coles MAcc

The Master of Accounting program (MAcc) is fast, flexible, and forward-focused. You can earn your degree in 12 months or you can take up to six years to complete your degree. Courses are offered in the A.L. Burruss Building on Kennesaw State University’s campus.

The MAcc degree is a professional graduate degree designed to help an individual meet the challenges of a career in accounting, whether public, private, or governmental. The program structure is designed to: increase your preparation for initial entry into the accounting profession or improve your chance of promotion in an existing accounting career; aid in your preparation for accounting certification exams; and provide continuing education for accounting professionals. The Coles MAcc is fully accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

The tuition and fees schedule for the Kennesaw and Galleria programs are positioned competitively to provide you with a significant return on this investment in your career.  Tuition assistance is available through our Graduate Assistantship program or Returning Peace Corp Volunteer (RPCV) fellowship

The MAcc program may be of special interest to students wishing to qualify for the Certified Public Accountant designation in Georgia.

Applicants for the CPA examination must have completed a total of 150 semester hours of college education, including 30 hours of accounting courses beyond Accounting I and II. This new five-year requirement has been adopted by 70 percent of the state licensing boards across the United States. The Coles MAcc offers you the opportunity to satisfy this requirement while earning an advanced degree.

The Master of Accounting program is open to business graduates as well as those with non-business undergraduate degrees. However, some business requirements may be required of students before taking core MAcc courses.
