Kennesaw was ranked 4th in U.S. News as one of the “Up-and-Coming” Masters Universities.

Business Week's B-School Rankings lists Kennesaw in Top 12 Part-Time MBA programs in the South. Business Week initially ranks the Top 30, however, they also rate programs in each Region (Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, South, Southwest, and West) as Second Tier – these regions represent those programs outside of the Top 30, but in the next group of rankings. Coles is ranked in the Second Tier in the South, joining the ranks of other Second Tier Part-time programs around the country include George Mason, The University of Maryland, Virginia Tech, The University of Minnesota, and UT-Dallas.

Other second tier Part-time programs in the South Region are UGA (Terry), NC State, and UNC-Greensboro.

Congratulations are in order for our Coles Executive MBA program, which was considered for the Wall Street Journal’s Best Executive programs for 2008. Although the program did not place in the top 25, it is important to note that it was one of the few programs eligible – Kennesaw University was considered; Georgia Tech, Georgia State, and The University of Georgia, were not. The Wall Street Journal's executive MBA rankings are based on three components; how a school scored in a survey of EMBA students; how it fared in a survey of companies familiar with EMBA programs; and how well it imparted management and leadership skills identified as crucial in the student and company surveys. Emory (the only school in Georgia to make the list) came in at number 11.

Fall 2008:

While working for HP, Helm decided to get an executive at the Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State. He chose KSU because of the technology and teamwork. students work in teams of six or seven and take all classes together. He learned how to manage people to get the best results from them. “I came to the M.B.A. program with managerial experience, knowing business models. I was technical and I did a technical job very well. I needed to learn how to retool myself to deal with business operations and run a business very well.”
