  • IIA/Larry Sawyer Research Foundation Prize - "CAE Strategic Relationships: Building Rapport with the Executive Suite" (Abdolmohammadi, Ramamoorti & Sarens), a reserch monograph published in 2013 was selected as the recipient of the best research project for the IIA Research Foundation. The authors were presented with the IIA/Larry Sawyer Award at the 2014 IIA International Conference in London, UK, on July 9, 2014. - July
  • PCAOB-SAG membership - The Standing Advisory Group advises the PCAOB on the development of auditing and related professional practice standards. The advisory group includes experts in the fields of accounting, auditing, financial reporting, corporate finance and corporate governance, as well as experts in investing in public companies who have a stake in the preparation of informative, accurate and independent audit reports. Its members are an important source of insight and advice to the Board. - November
  • Research Grant - Received $54,000 funding from the IIA Research Foundation for carrying out a research project published in 2013 as "Chief Audit Executive Strategic Relationships: Building rapport with the Executive Suite." (with M. Abdolmohammadi of Bentley University and G. Sarens of the University of Louvain, Belgium). Project duration from August 2011 through August 2012; employed Ms. Debra Richie, CPA, then a KSU MAcc student as a Graduate Research Assistant for the project. Now a best-seller for the IIA. - July
  • Co-Chair, Global CBOK 2010 Study - From 2008-2011, along with KPMG partner, Susan Ulrey, I was Co-Chair of the Global Common Body of Knowledge (CBOK) Study for the IIA Research Foundation. The study had a budget of $500,000, spanned over 100 countries, and involved a survey translated into 22 languages. Six well-received 2010 CBOK Reports have been published. - September
