Overview:
This one day event is a precursor to the certificate program in Unconscious Consumer Behavior and Habit-based Marketing which attempts to integrate ongoing, interdisciplinary research on unconscious consumer behavior to provide information and insights to practitioners. The Coles College of Business is pleased to announce a daylong initiative to provide marketers and executives with the insights and tools they need to understand the rapidly changing world of marketing.

Feature Speaker:
Dr. Neale Martin is Resident Scholar at the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship of Kennesaw State University’s Coles College of Business. For the past several years, he has worked on updating the principles of marketing in light of research from cognitive psychology and neuroscience that reveals most of human behavior is the result of unconscious habits.
He is the author of the highly regarded book habit: the 95% of behavior marketers ignore (Financial Times Press) as well as several other books on technology and marketing. He is also the Co-founder and CEO of Sublime Behavior Marketing, a marketing consulting, and education company.
Guest Speakers:
Bob Woodard is vice president, Global Consumer and Customer Insights Campbell's Soup Company. He leads the company’s efforts to develop deep and differentiating consumer insights and convert them into action and, ultimately, business growth. Bob is also: Senior Contributing Editor and Past Co-editor, Journal of Advertising Research; Member Executive committee, Marketing Science Institute; Member of Board of Directors, Association for Consumer Research; and a MRA Professional Researcher Certification-Expert
Dr. Wendy Wood is a Provost Professor of Psychology and Business at University of Southern California. Dr. Wood is a social psychologist, and her research addresses the ways that habits guide behavior-and why they are so difficult to break, as well as evolutionary models of gender differences in behavior.
Doug Rossier is director consumer devices Sprint/Nextel and is responsible for Sprint’s Consumer Marketing device strategy. He has worked at AT&T and Sprint in a variety of roles, Sales Training, Product Management and Product Marketing. Doug gets credit for crafting the marketing requirements
