Coles College Brown Bag Lunch

Dr. Torsten Pieper, Dr. Neal Mero, and Professor Juanne Greene will lead a discussion on "Responsibility in Family Business – Conceptual Framework and Future Research Ideas."
Abstract:
Responsibility is an important aspect in the governance of organizations. Drawing on responsibility and family business literatures, we describe various characteristics that make responsibility in family businesses distinct from non-family businesses and present a conceptual framework based on these characteristics. Furthermore, we discuss implications for the behavior of family and non-family managers in leadership positions and highlight ideas for future research on the subject.
Lunch including drinks will be provided. |

Coles College Breakfast Series is a breakfast speaker series sponsored by The Coles College of Business office of Alumni Relations. This Series is held the second Tuesday of every month from February to November. It is open to Alumni, students, faculty/ staff and the Atlanta business community. This series is held at The Georgian Club in Atlanta.
Breakfast Series programs feature influential speakers, who bring local and global perspectives on business and innovation.

2012 Concept-2-Reality™ Competition
Details
Eligibility: Open to All Kennesaw State University Students, Faculty, Staff, and Alumni, as well as to All residents of the greater Kennesaw community. Entrants MUST submit an Entry Form & a one page “Elevator Pitch” description of their Concept by Friday March 16, 2012. Both forms can be downloaded from the Concept-2-Reality™ website.
At least 25 Semi-Finalists will be selected and featured on the Concept-2-Reality™website. Each Semi-finalist will then prepare a more detailed 3-to-5 page Executive Summary of their Concept. At least five Concept-2-Reality™ Finalists will be selected from these 25+ Executive Summaries. Each Finalist will be provided an opportunity to present their Concept to an Outside Panel of “Angels,” Successful Entrepreneurs, Venture Capitalists, and Other Advisors to new ventures.
