Mrs. Jan Rose has 20+ years of sales, information systems and customer service management experience in retailing (Federated Department Stores), telecommunications (The Bell System/AT&T) and manufacturing (Avery Dennison) sectors. Currently, she has an Accounting Services practice, providing bookkeeping and accounting services to small businesses.
Mrs. Rose has taught Accounting, Management, and Marketing courses at several colleges and universities over the past 10 years. She holds a BBA in Accounting from Kennesaw State University and passed the Uniform CPA Examination in 2006. She graduated magna cum laude with a BBA in Management from the University of Cincinnati and an MBA/Marketing from Xavier University.
Her instructional mission is to motivate all business students to learn and embrace the “language of business” while studying Financial and Managerial Accounting. In addition, she developed a customized “mini-course” that provides Accounting majors a clear road-map on the mechanics of the CPA exam and the process of CPA licensure.
Mrs. Rose is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is very active in amateur tennis leagues play sponsored by the USTA and ALTA and is a long time member of the Board of her local Homeowner’s Association.
