Maria Kalamas is an Assistant Professor, Department of Marketing and Professional Sales, Michael J. Coles College of Business, Kennesaw State University (Kennesaw, Georgia, USA). Maria is in the process of earning a Ph.D. in administration (marketing concentration) from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. She has three years of experience in real estate management and has earned two graduate degrees (M.B.A. and M.S.) from Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York. Fluent in English, French, and Greek, Maria also holds undergraduate degrees in biology (B.Sc.) and history (B.A.) from McGill University.
Her broad research interests are in the areas of retailing, services marketing, consumer behavior, cross-cultural marketing, brand management, green marketing, and marketing history. Thus far, she has published her research in leading journals including the Journal of Business Research, International Marketing Review, Journal of Consumer Marketing, Journal of Strategic Marketing, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, Canadian Journal of Administrative Sciences, and Japanese Psychological Research. Maria has also presented her work at several national and international academic conferences, receiving a “Best Student Paper Award” from the Society for Marketing Advances. |
