The School of Accountancy in the Coles College of Business prepares professionals ready to use business understanding and interpersonal skills, as well as accounting expertise, to move their organizations forward. We connect theory and practice at all levels of education, in our research, and in our consultations with the business community.

We attract students who are prudent with their resources and who want to bring their strengths to bear and make a genuine contribution to their future employers. In addition to accounting skills, our graduates understand business in a broad sense, know how to ask critical questions, value their own strengths, listen to others, and work well in teams. With more than 30 full-time faculty members and small classes, each student receives personal attention as they build their skills.

The School of Accountancy stays in touch with the accounting profession. Two centers of excellence at the Coles College of Business may be of interest to working professionals in the field, the Internal Audit Center and the Corporate Governance Center. Thanks to our internal auditing program, KSU is 1 of 7 Universities and Colleges in the world that is recognized at the Institute of Internal Auditor's Excellence Level.
