Student Advisory Board
We have a team of students from every college on campus that come together quarterly to provide advice and direction to our center. This core team exemplifies our beliefs about entrepreneurship and works to champion our message across the KSU campus.
Board of Advisors
The Board of Advisors is made up of outstanding individuals who believe what we believe about entrepreneurship and are willing to champion our cause in their networks.
Volunteering their time and expertise, our mentors provide invaluable advice and counseling to our students, startups, and aggressive growth companies.
We have investors ready to entertain capital conversations for investor-ready businesses in our community.

Mark Johnson – Assistant Director
Mark Johnson graduated from the University of Georgia with a double major in marketing and finance as well as a certificate in personal and organizational leadership. He has experience working in numerous entrepreneurial ventures including the launch of multiple companies. Before becoming Assistant Director of the Robin and Doug Shore Entrepreneurship Center, Mark was the Program Coordinator of the Terry Entrepreneurship Program at the University of Georgia.
Chris Hanks – Executive Director
Christopher C. Hanks is the founder and executive director of the Robin and Doug Shore Entrepreneurship Center. Prior to this, Hanks was the founder and director of the entrepreneurship program at the University of Georgia. He has owned multiple businesses, including music, e-commerce, publishing, and export ventures. He is also the co-author of a best-selling book on low risk entrepreneurship.
Hanks leads the International Entrepreneurship Institute and is certified in business valuation, providing expert witness testimony. Before teaching at UGA, Hanks taught entrepreneurship at Georgia State University and assisted in leading the Russell Center for Entrepreneurship. He earned a BBA from University of Georgia and an MBA from San Jose State University. Before launching his first business, Hanks held corporate risk management positions in the pharmaceutical and beverage industries.
