Enhancing the practice and
professionalism
of selling and sales management
Kennesaw State University is one of
only a few universities in the United States to
offer a four-year degree in professional
selling, which incorporates the skills and ethics
of sales. Students also have the opportunity to
minor or have an emphasis in sales. KSU also houses one of only a handful of Professional Selling Centers in the nation.
Almost half of all college graduates will begin
their career in the field of sales, and the
Bureau of Labor and Statistics estimates
indicate that Georgia will have over 14,000
sales job opportunities each year for the
foreseeable future. Georgia ranks third in the
nation in new sales jobs, behind New York and
California.
The Sales program at Kennesaw State University
allows students to develop an effective
combination of strategic and tactical
communication, relationship building and sales
skills through real life and experiential
exercises.
Class work is supplemented with opportunities to
practice sales skills through digitally recorded
role-playing and presentations, which are
critiqued by faculty and peers, allowing
students to perfect their sales techniques.
Students also have the opportunity to shadow
sales professionals in several different
industries and to participate in live sales
calls.
