Research and Development

The Faculty Research and Development Committee is responsible to the faculty of the Coles College of Business. The Committee coordinates and encourages the research efforts of the Faculty, administering funds for research within the Faculty, administering research and travel grants and coordinating faculty symposia, brown bag presentations, and the working paper series.

While teaching is of great importance, Coles Faculty, cognizant of the expectations of AACSB accredited accounting and business programs at the undergraduate and graduate level, maintain a strong commitment to peer reviewed journal scholarship and leadership in professional organizations.  For the past two years the Committee has provided direct support to the Coles Faculty for scholarly activities through a competitive research grant program.  The grants are intended to support substantive faculty research and development activities including: travel to conduct off-site research, archival research, collaborative research, and attendance at faculty retooling seminars/institutes.

The Faculty Research Award Application Deadline is September 10, 2007 by 5pm. Applications are available in the following format: [MSWORD] [PDF]
