Dr. Steve Smalt¸ CPA combines 20 years of teaching experience in accounting¸ auditing¸ international accounting and financial information systems with a track record of hands–on involvement in business management and management consulting. His clients include companies such as Coca–Cola¸ Kroger¸ Blue Cross Blue Shield¸ and Georgia Power. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Support Technologies¸ Inc.¸ a company that provides IT and helpdesk services (#14 on INC 500 list of fastest growing companies in the U.S.).

He has taught Continuing Professional Education programs for many organizations including the Georgia Society of CPAs. In conjunction with the Institute for International Research¸ London¸ England¸ he has taught professional seminars on U.S. and SEC financial reporting standards in various European cities over the past several years. Dr. Smalt is an Associate Professor of Accounting and Information Systems.

He has conducted research on the management of intellectual capital in Fortune 500 corporations¸ the International Accounting Standards setting process and alternative approaches to teaching accounting and business concepts. In his free time Steve enjoys golf¸ scuba diving¸ fishing¸ flying and traveling.
