Shane Smith is an assistant professor in the Marketing and Professional Sales Department where he teaches undergraduate courses in Business to Business Marketing and Sports Marketing. Previous to this position, Shane taught undergraduate courses and conducted research while obtaining his PhD from the University of South Carolina. While at USC, he won awards such as the Moore School of Business Alfred. G. Smith Teacher of the Year and was officially recognized by the dean of the school for his scholarly achievements.
Previous to his time at USC, Shane worked with ESPN, the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Allied Specialty Insurance, and TotalSports.Net, among others. From these experiences, Shane has drawn research interests in the marketing of services and experiences in the luxury and leisure marketplace, as well as from his passion for sustainable business and green marketing.
