He also has an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta and a Bachelors degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology at Kharagpur. His published research includes corporate governance practices¸ top management and director compensation¸ generic and international expansion strategies¸ risk and return¸ strategic planning and control systems¸ and firm and national competitiveness. Raj has also written on teaching methods and pedagogy in International Business.He taught at the University of Pittsburgh¸ Northwestern University¸ the University of Wisconsin at Parkside and Virginia Tech¸ before joining Kennesaw State University in 1994. Raj teaches the Capstone courses in Strategic Management in the graduate and undergraduate programs of the Coles College¸ and International Management. He has also taught in the MBA for Physician Executives program at Kennesaw State. Prior to entering academia¸ Raj has worked as a manager in industry in different functions like marketing¸ sales¸ exports and research & development.Raj has presented and published over sixty articles and papers on various topics. His work has appeared in the Competitiveness Review¸ British Journal of Management¸ the Journal of Business Research¸ the Journal of Management Studies¸ Long Range Planning¸ Management International Review, Strategic Management Journal and several other outlets¸ In addition¸ it has been presented at numerous national and international meetings. He is affiliated with the Academy of International Business and the Academy of Management. Raj spent a semester as a Fulbright Scholar at the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode in 2004.
