Timothy Mathews joined the faculty of the Michael J. Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University in 2007. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 2002 and his M.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia in 1998.
As an undergraduate he majored in Economics and Political Science at Wilkes University. Dr. Mathews’ primary research interests are in the fields of Industrial Organization, Applied Game Theory, and Microeconomic Theory.
His work has been published in numerous academic journals, including “Economic Theory,” “Journal of Economics,” and “International Game Theory Review.”
Before coming to Kennesaw State University, Dr. Mathews was on the faculty of the Department of Economics at California State University, Northridge.
He has taught a wide range of courses at the both the undergraduate and graduate levels, including: Principles of Microeconomics, Intermediate Microeconomics, Industrial Organization, Public Finance, and Managerial Economics.
