She has been teaching at Kennesaw State University (KSU) since 1989. Her teaching expertises are in the areas of financial accounting and business valuation. Linda earned an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Stetson University¸ and a BA in Economics from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Ms. Malgeri is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Valuation Analyst.Professor Malgeri joined the faculty at KSU, after serving on the faculty of Mercer University for 4 years¸ and working as a Manager for Deloitte Haskins & Sells in their Management Consulting Department. Her primary areas of interest are in financial accounting and valuations of closely held businesses. Linda teaches at all levels from the principles of accounting courses to upper level courses. Professor Malgeri also teaches seminars for the Continuing Education Department at KSU¸ the Small Business Development Center and for corporate in–house training programs.
Professor Malgeri has been actively involved in Assurance of Learning (AoL) since 2003. Linda is the Director of Assurance of Learning for the Coles College of Business. In this role, Professor Malgeri coordinates and is responsible for AoL process in six undergraduate degree programs and four graduate programs.
Kennesaw State University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The Coles College of Business and the Accounting Department are, both, accredited by the AACSB, The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Professor Malgeri oversees the requirements of both accrediting organizations and works with departments to identify and support other stakeholders in the Assurance of Learning function.
Linda is very active in the business community and works with companies on a consulting basis. She serves or has served on the Board of Directors for many non-profit entities, such as the Georgia Society of CPAs, American Cancer Society, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, and The GSCPA Educational Foundation. Linda is a member of the Georgia Society of CPAs and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. Linda is married and has two children.
