Ben F. Kushner is Founder, President and CEO of Ben F. Kushner Co., a commercial real estate development and investment company. His company owns and operates 24 properties comprising nearly 3,000,000 square feet of shopping centers, office buildings and other commercial buildings in three states.

After graduating from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, in 1971, Mr. Kushner began his real estate career in Atlanta in 1972.

Mr. Kushner teaches the entrepreneurial elements of shopping center development and investment in the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship in the Coles College of Business.

His course examines the acquisition of existing shopping centers, the renovation and remodeling of older properties for the purpose of adding value and the development of a new commercial property from the inception of the idea to the final disposition of the asset.

Mr. Kushner is married to Connie Kushner. They have two children, Jennie and Henry.
