Professor Schulzke teaches commercial law, negotiation, and international financial reporting at graduate and undergraduate levels at the Coles College of Business. He currently serves as Associate Director of the Coles College International Centre.

While in graduate school at Brigham Young University, Kurt worked as controller of Wind River Exploration Inc., a privately held oil and gas concern and interned for two semesters at Bartig, Basler, & Ray, CPAs, in Sacramento. In 1986, after completing his M.Acc. in management accounting, he joined Price Waterhouse -Atlanta, working first as an auditor and later as a tax consultant focusing on privately–held business and expatriate taxation. In 1990, he joined the accounting faculty at KSU, later returning to complete his JD at Georgia State University, in 1998. Through his law practice, he serves a variety of individual and business clients in relation to their commercial, enterprise governance and tax matters.

Kurt’s research & writing focuses on negotiation, financial reporting, and business law. His courses on international financial reporting business ethics and negotiation have been warmly received by financial analysts and corporate finance officers in major U.S. and European financial centers.
