Dr. Gilliam is a Professor of Economics in the Coles College of Business. A graduate of Long Island University¸ Dr. Gilliam received both the M.S. degree and Ph.D from Lehigh University located in Bethlehem¸ PA.

Dr. Gilliam is the author of numerous articles in economic journals. His primary areas of interest are microeconomics and managerial economics. Dr. Gilliam has taught both microeconomic theory and managerial economics as well as a host of other economics and quantitative methods courses on both the undergraduate and graduate level.

Dr. Gilliam has been a member of the faculty of Kennesaw State University since 1984. Prior to joining Kennesaw´s faculty¸ Dr. Gilliam taught at the University of Georgia and Morehouse College.

Dr. Gilliam is a member of the Department of Economics, Finance & Quantitative Analysis and was the Associate Dean of the Coles College from 1999 to 2006.

Dr. Gilliam also enjoys pottery¸ gardening and is learning to play the harp. Dr. Gilliam is often consulted in wrongful death/economic value of life cases.
