Biography:


Ph.D. Business Administration (Finance), University of Houston
MBA, Barry University
B.Sc. Management Studies, University of the West Indies

Dr. Barrow has served in academe since 1984 and is a former Head of the School of Business Administration, University of Technology, Jamaica. She received the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence in achieving her Ph.D. in Finance, from the University of Houston, and has published in the largest peer review journal in her field.

Dr. Barrow has served in senior capacities at several national and international conferences and has received the award for outstanding teacher of the year at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvanina, where she was also awarded tenure.  Her committee and community development expertise includes: academic recruitment; curriculum development; small business development; and collegiate strategic planning.

Her non–academic experience includes: Business Consultant to various developing businesses; Financial Controller to a travel company; and Senior Accounting Manager at a major credit union.  Dr. Barrow is a member of the Florida Atlantic University Small Business Development Center, is a Certified Consultant with the West Palm Beach based, Center for Non-Profit Knowhow, and is an approved business planning and feasibility consultant with the Caribbean Agricultural Research and Development Institute (CARDI).

In addition to consulting, Dr. Barrow lectures internationally in Post-Graduate Programs, in a Ph.D. dissertation advisor, and is the Managing Professor for Ducere Ars, LLC, an Atlanta based professional development firm.
