Hope Torkornoo holds a Ph.D. from Georgia State University and is active in teaching MBA and undergraduate courses in International Marketing¸ Strategic Marketing¸ and Global Business Strategies. Dr. Torkornoo’s research and publishing interests include global business strategy¸ foreign direct investment in the United States from emerging economies¸ and marketing decisions and performance in transitional economies in Africa. He has been published in international journals and has presented papers on these topics in several academic conferences in Europe¸ North America¸ Asia¸ and Africa.

Dr. Torkornoo directs the MBA International Business Study Tour as part of his Spring Semester course in global business strategy formulation and execution. Since 1996¸ the study tour has provided MBA students and faculty business and cultural insights in England¸ Belgium¸ France¸ Germany, Austria, and Japan. Participants engage in seminars on global versus local business strategy formulation and implementation with business leaders in several major corporations in Europe and Japan¸ including Jaguar Cars¸ HSBC Bank¸ British Telecom¸ British Airways¸ Coca–Cola¸ Solvay, Levi Strauss¸ IBM¸ Citibank¸ Motorola¸ Disneyland Paris, Sony, Panasonic, Honda, Hitachi, Murata, Kyocera, and AFLAC Japan.
