Dr. Ramírez  joined KSU in Fall 2002 and currently  teaches courses in corporate finance. His research interests are in the field of bankruptcy and restructurings¸ dividend policy¸ corporate control and governance¸ security issuance and real estate among others.

His research has been published in premier journals such as Journal of Finance¸ Journal of Financial Economics¸ Financial Management¸ Academy of Management Journal¸ and AREURA. He has also published in the Journal of Banking and Finance¸ Journal of Financial Research¸ Financial Review¸ and Journal of Advertising among others. Prior to joining KSU¸ Dr. Ramírez served on the faculties at Binghamton University and Stern School of Business at NYU.
