Dr. Adriane B. Randolph is an Assistant Professor of Business Information Systems Management in the Michael J. Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University. She received a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the Department of Computer Information Systems at Georgia State University and a B.S. in Systems Engineering with Distinction from the University of Virginia. Prior to academia, Dr. Randolph worked for Accenture, a leading information technology and management consulting firm, implementing change management and human performance tools in the federal government sector in Washington, D.C.
Currently, Dr. Randolph’s research focuses on brain-computer and biometrically-based interface systems which allow for non-muscularly controlled assistive technologies. As Director of the Kennesaw State University BrainLab, she works to develop real-world systems that enable people to control computers and other devices without the need for any physical input but rather use brain waves or other electrophysiological responses. In addition to her work at Kennesaw State, Dr. Randolph is also teamed with the BrainLabs at the Georgia Institute of Technology and Georgia State University. Other research interests include human-computer interaction, health systems, and universal design and usability.
Dr. Randolph has published several refereed papers including multiple manuscripts in the premier International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS), and she has been featured as a person who is “transforming the world” in Entrepreneur Magazine. Dr. Randolph was a National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship Award Recipient, KPMG Ph.D. Project Doctoral Scholar, Georgia State University Dissertation Award Recipient, and Southern Regional Education Board (SREB) Doctoral Scholar. She is currently a member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), Association for Information Systems (AIS), and National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE).
