The accounting profession is currently experiencing unprecedented change. The result is an increased demand for highly qualified professionals that can meet the challenges of a dynamic marketplace. Today's accountant is a critical member of the organization, using their business expertise, communication, and interpersonal skills as well as their accounting skills to improve decision making throughout the organization. At KSU, we offer a variety of flexible undergraduate and graduate-level degree programs and courses to meet the specific needs of our students. Accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), our accounting curriculum develops competence in a broad range of accounting skills and practices. It also helps students develop their written and oral communication skills, teamwork and critical thinking skills, and provides a sound understanding of the legal and regulatory environments. We offer a BBA in Accounting as well as a Master of Accounting (MAcc). Members of our accounting faculty are actively engaged in academic research, community service, and international activities. Our highest professional responsibility, however, is to our students. Our classes are challenging and current and our faculty members are available for extensive interaction with students. We maintain corporate relations to help place our students in internships and in challenging professional positions. Frequent corporate recruiters include Ernst and Young, Price Waterhouse Coopers, Grant Thornton, Deloitte Touche, and KPMG.
