Majors

The Coles College offers a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in seven programs of study:

Accounting
Accounting majors have a wide range of opportunities with public, private and not-for-profit organizations. This program of study prepares students for both entry-level positions and long-term careers. It is designed to advance technical competence and business acumen within a global framework. Coles College Accounting graduates have high CPA Exam pass rates.

Economics & Quantitative Analysis
The study of Economics prepares students for careers in management, marketing, research, economic planning and human resources in fields such as industry, banking, trade and government. It also prepares students for graduate study in economics, law and business.

Finance
The program in Finance prepares students for careers as bankers, financial managers, stockbrokers, financial analysts, portfolio managers, financial consultants, investment bankers, and financial planners. It also prepares students for post-graduate studies in business or law.

Management
The study of Management prepares students for leadership roles in many business fields. Areas of specialization include Human Resource Management and Development, Information Systems Management, International Management, Small Business Creation and Management, and Operations Management.

Marketing
A Marketing major can lead to a personally and financially rewarding career. The field is dedicated to promoting an organization's goods and services to potential customers. Specialized tracks include Marketing Communications, Retail Management or Professional Selling.

Professional Sales
Many opportunities exist for graduates who enjoy the independence and economic rewards a sales career provides. A major in Professional Sales focuses on business-to-business selling, helping students learn how to design and deliver effective sales presentations, manage accounts, develop sales plans, and manage the sales force.

International Business
The International Business major combines extensive study of international issues with one of the traditional functional areas.  Students will become familiar with the global competitive arena.  The IB major provides students with the skills necessary to succeed in our world of complex competitive environments, diverse cultures, and integrated business decisions.
