The undergraduate program in the Coles College of Business prepares students for careers in business. With six dynamic majors there a numerous study options for our students. In publications ranging from The Wall Street Journal to U.S. News & World Report, our academic initiatives in business have been recognized for their ability to bridge theory and practice in a challenging, interactive learning environment. All of our programs are accredited by AACSB-International. Over 100 full-time faculty in six departments represent the best in the business. Not only are our professors distinguished as great teachers and scholars, but they also have many years of experience in the corporate sector both domestically and internationally. The lower and upper-division program of study presents students with a broad foundation of knowledge, skills and attitudes in the functional areas of business including accounting, economics, finance, management, marketing and professional sales. After completing the lower division of courses, meeting a current GPA requirement of 2.875 across eight core courses, the student applies for admission into the Professional Program. Within a major, the student acquires specialized knowledge and skills. Emphasis is placed upon the following goals: ethics, critical thinking, interaction, technology, resource management and global perspectives. In spring 2006 the BoA Career Resource Center was established. The Center's main mission is to promote awareness of the large number of career services that are available and to help our students develop the career skills needed to succeed. The Center also has an online search engine (owlTrak) that you can use to search for jobs (part-time, full-time, co-op and internship).
